If You Believe in Work/Life Balance Read On!
Just thought I would give you a quick update on the new holiday entitlement coming into force on 1st April 2009
Under the Working Time (amendment) Regulations 2007 there will be an increase in the statutory minimum paid leave entitlement. The statutory minimum paid annual leave entitlement will rise from 4.8 weeks (24 days) for those working a five day week to 5.6 weeks (28 days). This means all workers will be entitled to annual leave at 5.6 times their usual working week. This holiday entitlement is inclusive of any time off for bank and public holidays. If both employer and employee agree, you will be allowed to carry over to the following year some or all of the additional holiday.
So have you booked yours yet?
